Five Photos, Five Stories – Day One: Golden Sky

A couple of days ago I received the following invitation:

Hi SB

I’m about to invite you to join in a challenge I recently accepted. Five Photos, Five Stories. I thought this challenge could present you with the opportunity of view blogging from a different angle, to do something different, anything that suits you for that matter. It’s entirely up to you. …

Clare

The Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge rules require you to post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo.  It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or simply a short paragraph – it’s entirely up to you.

Then each day, nominate another blogger to carry on this challenge.

Accepting the challenge is entirely up to the person nominated, it is not a command. And actually everyone can join in. So feel free to if you like the idea.

Thank you so much, Clare from My Creative Cosmos or Clare & Dean for nominating me for this amazing challenge.

This is a picture that you know already. But I wanted to tell you the story:

WarmthIIThis picture was taken at my happy place. I am not telling you where it is, only that it is not in Australia. What I loved beside the amazing color of the sky, the amazing sunset is the couple standing there, leaning against the tree or cuddling up to each other. It is a moment frozen in time. This picture captured me. It captured my love for nature, for the ocean. It captured the warmth you can feel if you are at peace with yourself. And it captures love and unity.

There were many people standing there enjoying the sunset, but they kind of disappear when the sun starts setting. It is peaceful and everyone seems to soak in this peace and quietness. It is just a very special place with a very special vibe to it. And if you are open for things like this you will feel it and you will switch from ‘go go go’ to ‘slow down’. It’s the place where I wrote my first book, in no time, as it was just flowing. It’s the place where I realized that I will write a second book, a prequel, as I had all those ideas suddenly coming up.

And it is the place I truly belong to, as each and every time I get there I feel like I am coming home.

………………………………………..

As I said, participating is totally up to you. Today I would like to invite Edwina, Edwina’s Episodes, to join in.

  3. Hi SB,

This is an amazing photo, I really love the story behind it and knowing (now) that it’s a place where you belong. Most of us only ever hope to find such a place.

  4. The lone windswept tree, the empty horizon and the (setting?) sun could have a melancholy interpretation but it is dispelled by your delightful words. It’s wonderful when an image has a powerful impact, not only on the viewer but also the photographer. The image and the story are bound to you for ever.
