As a writer you often crave for some solitude to be able to actually hear yourself think. At least it’s what I sometimes feel like… Unfortunately we don’t always get it. Anyway. I picked this picture for the assignment. It is such a beautiful place and when we were there I felt I could recharge my batteries.
I believe I followed the rule of thirds, as the shore sits on the lowest line and the kids in the chairs are more or less on the intersection of the far right and the lower line.
I’ve posted a picture recently about the rule of thirds, which you can find here. I feel it matches ‘solitude’ too.
What a beautiful place. I can imagine my self hear me think there. Lovely picture 🙂

This picture reminds of a lake here in Silicon Valley. I really like how the red chair stands out….good composition!
Thanks for sharing.

Everybody needs a place to be alone sometimes, and that kind of place would be perfect.

I wish that I could find a quiet place of solitude to think, write, and contemplate, but sadly considering the turmoil the entire family has been through during my yearlong plus illness, there is no solitude nor peace which prevents me from producing quality writing. Send me some positive thoughts, my friend.

Your image is so pleasing to the eye that I felt as if I was there enjoying the peace and quiet.
The presence of the kids and the chairs make for a nice balance with the expanse of sky.
