Blog Event – Finish It

I decided to create a little blog event and would like to call it “Finish it”.

And this is what it will be about:

There is one short sentence, maybe a short paragraph. The start to a little story. There will be a new one every Wednesday. Your job is to write a short story. Finish, what I’ve begun.

The rules are simple:

  • Post the short story with the given start to it on your blog
  • Link it back to this page
  • Use less than 3500 words
  • Mention this blog event and this blog in a short intro (not included in the word count)
  • Use the Tag Finish it for your post.

I will reblog your posts on this blog and also list them on this page for further references.

And now let’s see what we will get. And who knows, maybe we can have a little vote to find out which of the stories were the best ones every couple of months? How would that sound like?

    This is a lovely idea, I don’t know if I’d join in because I don’t know if short stories would fit into my blog but I had to tell you that I think it’s a great idea!

    I just spent, like, seriously, about 5 hours working on creating a “blog event” for 201… and then I revisit your page and it is simple and beautiful and, yes, I will definately participate! Great, creative, imaginative, fun idea! I’m excited to particpate 🙂

    Was not privy that there were these “event blogs” going on, but it sounds like a fun idea. As one other person commented, not sure it would fit into my blog’s category, but I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for a fun opportunity in the future.

    Okay, mine is done. That was challenging and fun. Definately a create repeating event! Here’s my question: when does your event end? I’d like to post mine tomorrow as I don’t want it to override my own event (I’ve gotten only one person to join me), feeling discouraged 14 hours later. Hopefully, they’re all busy trying to come up with some creative poetry because they don’t have any???? Not sure. Seems like most of the people I follow do a lot of poetry writing. Kinda figured it’d be an easy task for them, just share your link, right? Especially considering I am retweeting and following and commenting and asking that others do the same. I dunno. I have now participated in two events and created one event. People come and read, say it’s a great idea, but do not join… Anyway, enough about me, will tomorrow do for a post date? or is this a 24 hour event?
