My blogger friend over at LIEBESRAUM created a little challenge where you are supposed to describe what the little word “love” means to you in 150 words or less.
Love means to me to be there for someone, unconditionally. To laugh together, cry together, pull through together. Support each other and share your thoughts, your fears, your dreams. Build a life together and find the compromises it needs to spend this life together. Be a friend, a lover, a partner. Be critical, be honest, be there. Most of all be who you are and accept your partner for who he or she is. Never ask your partner to be someone he or she is not. The person you love should be real and not shaped to your liking. Love is about acceptance and tolerance and about learning and growing together.
To me, love is the feeling of unconditional happiness that comes within you when you feel complete, whether it be from a person or otherwise. Love is when you’re free to be who you are with another and able to have unconditional support. It’s knowing that you won’t be let down by life because you have someone to get through the pain with you. You have someone to hold your hand and guide you if you need. You have someone who will help you through the best and worst of times, and will always care for you.

Very nicely put. I would’ve simply said “something to keep me going”. 😉
