Now how should I do this… Should I just write about me or should I do it kind of this style:
SB Mazing grew up in a little town in a small valley in the Swiss Alps. From a very young age on she loved writing little stories and listening to the bedtime stories her dad came up with….
Hang on… nope, does not work for me… not my style. So let me try that again:
I grew up in a little town all the way in the back of a small valley in the Swiss Alps. Luscious green in summer, snow covered in winter. It was usually a quiet place which turned into a busy ski resort during the winter month. I loved it. It offered you so much. You kind of got a piece of both worlds.
My dad was always around as he was much older and I loved spending time with him. He taught me a lot about nature and told us all kind of made up bedtime stories, which we loved. My mom was my best friend and supported me in almost every decision I made. She loved reading my little stories, the ones I started writing the moment I knew how to write. Sometimes I think she would have loved to write herself.
Today I am a mom of two myself and my kids and my husband are the most important part of my life. They complete me (if you can say that). My husband is my Soulmate and I am so glad we found each other. My family makes me a mother but also keeps that little girl inside of me alive and kicking.
I used to work in a job where I was writing. But it was not creative writing. I always loved it but I knew I wanted more from it, I needed more.
It took me a long time and a big move, from one side of the world to the other, to finally have the courage and start a blog (not this one) and write again. Write what I want to write about. And by doing that, I got the courage to finally sit down and start writing my Trilogy.
I guess like everything, it is a work in progress and you need to get to the point where you feel comfortable enough to jump into the unknown and just do it.
So here I am. I know that I am a writer as I am writing and everyone who writes is a writer in my eyes. Am I an Author yet? Maybe not. But I am close to it. Soon my books will be available and when the first one is ordered I will feel comfortable calling myself ‘Author’. And I am definitely a dreamer. You need to be a dreamer to be a writer or an author.
“I am a writer, an author and a dreamer. I am a woman, a wife, a mother and yet still a little girl at heart. Living in a country I am not born in, speaking and writing in a language that was not my first…”
SB Mazing
I hear you, and totally agree with you. I wonder though, how do you balance writing and mothering, and wifing (if that’s even a word) and working? Keep dreaming, keep writing I look forward to reading more from you.

How nice to learn a bit about your background. I love Switzerland. I spent a summer in Zermatt back in 1992.

Hi, I really enjoyed your About page. What an interesting life you’ve had. Your home town sounds so beautiful. I love to read that you have met your soul mate and have a happy life. I agree that every author has to be a dreamer, and retain a little bit of their little child in them. Looking forward to reading more 🙂

I say motherhood suits you just fine. It may even serve as one of your motivation to write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write and write (thank God for Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V).

The Swiss Alps!!! Wow! I grew up traveling, but we stuck to the south and middle of the country, and my personal favorite, warm islands. I already know (if I were to ever have to live in the Swiss Alps) my winters would be spent in a much warmer destination! God knows He made me a Southerner and Island baby for a reason! Keep up the writing, I’m not yet a wife or a mother, but I wear many other virtual hats while attempting to jump in the writers/ authors pool. I’m encouraged to know it’s possible to remain busy and reach one of my life’s dreams.

I, for one, am eager to follow your journey, as well as Liza’s adventures. How lucky I am to have found you right before you’ve written Liza’s story. Please keep us up-to-date so we can follow along through the trials and tribulations of creating.

Is that ‘little town all the way in the back of a small valley in the Swiss Alps’ called Interlakan? Carol and I spent our summer vacations there when I was station in Frankfurt Germany for 5 years in the 70’s. We camped at Lazy Rancho. (http://lazyrancho.ch/pages/english/welcome.php)

Nope, but Interlaken is really nice too 🙂 I grew up closer to Austria…

True… I often think it is crazy that we not just go out and try. After all that is what life is kind of there for. Doing things… and not waiting until we can’t do them anymore…

Hi there! Heard about your Finish It blogging event and thought I could challenge myself with that. I don’t usually take “challenges” as inspiration of my writings ’cause I’m often comfortable in writing what I want. But I guess as an aspiring “professional writer” (lol) I should never say no to challenges! Therefore I may join in your event one of these days.
